On Good Friday this year (2nd April 2010) the Aldridge Churches came together for our Walk of Witness when we carried a cross though
our village and remembered some of the sacrifice Christ made for us all that first Good Friday.
We met at the Parish Church at 10.30am and after a time of worship set off across the Croft where we stopped half way and had a Bible reading
about the Easter story. We then set off again, down Portland Road, right into Anchor Road, and up through the Precinct where we had a short
service outside Home Bargains! Rev Evan Cockshaw from St Thomas Church gave a short talk and it was a very special time together.
This year saw the best turnout ever in the history of these walks. It was estimated that there were over 300 people
representing the Aldridge Churches which was a wonderful witness to our community.
